There is a NEW DATE for Celebrate Wales - 21st and 22nd April 2018.
This is a move away from the usual date of the May bank holiday weekend and the team truly hope that due to this, more people will be able to attend and experience Celebrate Wales. Please mark the date in your diary!

There is also a NEW VENUE! Mary Immaculate High School, Wenvoe, CF5 5QZ
Celebrate wales has had a very blessed two years at St David’s College and are now very excited to work with the staff at Mary Immaculate where it is felt that the venue will be better suited to Celebrate Wales, particularly for those with reduced mobility.

Another exciting development is that the conference fees will now be capped at £90 for a family of 2 adults and up to 4 children.
And why not throw in some more changes… there is a brand new leadership too! The Celebrate Wales team has changed a lot in the last few months and the new team are very much finding their feet with organising the conference after our wonderful leaders Simon and Mary stepped down from their roles. There has been a true sense of God working in new and exciting ways - so many changes means they are forced to fully put their trust in Him. Everything made sense when the team heard the theme for Celebrate conferences this year: “See: I am doing a new thing!” Isaiah 43:19.
God is making a new path - a way in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us at Celebrate Wales 2018 and we hope you can join us to experience it!

Finally, the team would also like to ask for your help. In addition to the dedicated core team, they need many more hands to make Celebrate Wales happen! Perhaps you could put up a poster in your place of work or local school, or give a short testimonial in your parish to encourage others to attend (the team can provide posters and flyers.)

There are also many areas during the weekend in which the team would be so grateful to have volunteers - setting up at the school on Friday, taking down on the Sunday, helping with parking at the venue, helping on the registration desk, helping in one of the children’s or youth streams - they would love to hear from you and you will never be asked to over commit.

Above all, the team would love to humbly ask for your prayers as they continue to plan the conference. It won’t be possible without them, so thank you! They are praying for you all too.

Scripture Saturdays in South Wales

Days of reflection, worship and study of the Bible
to help us apply it in our everyday lives

First: a big THANK YOU to all of you who came to Fr Tim’s day on 24th February.  We hear there was an amazing turn out and, as always, Fr Tim was quite inspirational.  Alan & I were so sorry we couldn’t be with you (a family wedding in Glasgow kept us away) but we would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the day.

Our next scripture event is at St Philip Evans RC Church, Llanederyn, Cardiff
on Saturday 24th March at 10am to 3pm.

Alive in Christ

Keeping our faith alive in everyday life.

What do the scriptures show us about how to be fully alive in the Lord?

How can we live that out every day?

Sarah Beresford, Director of the Catholic Bible School, will be exploring the scriptures with us to help us be truly alive in Christ.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided but please bring your own packed lunch.

All our Scripture Saturdays are free and there is no need to book but if you are able to make a donation to cover our costs it will be gratefully received.

For more information visit our event page or email us.
